Hi, I’m Sharon, welcome to 15minutesofgreen.com
Gardening vs life
I absolutely love my garden. It’s where I potter and relax. But, with a full-time job and countless other commitments, keeping the garden looking wonderful can sometimes seem an overwhelming task. Sound familiar?
The 15 minutes of green challenge
You can do anything for 15 minutes, and 15 minutes of weeding, digging, planting or pruning – every day – adds up to more than 90 hours of gardening a year.
So I have set myself a challenge: to make 15 minutes of green a daily habit.
I now try to do something useful in the garden for at least 15 minutes every day. And I’m loving it.
I’m also beginning to realise that no garden is ever perfect; in fact, my garden is perfectly imperfect. And I’m loving that too.
15 minutes of green, wherever I am
As for those days when I’m nowhere near my garden during daylight hours, I’m still trying to get outside for a 15 minutes of green walk: in a park, along a river, or simply around the streets having a nosy at other people’s front gardens.
Getting away from my desk for a blast of fresh air, hopefully some sunshine and a little light exercise makes all the difference to my day!
15 minutes is plenty in 2020
Why not give it a go too? You can do anything for 15 minutes, so I invite you to make 15 minutes of green your new daily habit.
And if you do, I’d love to know how you spent your #15greenmins today. Let me know here, or on Twitter @15greenmins.
